Last year's Awards Event took place on September 9th, 2017 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Eligible participants enjoyed Great Food – Great Gifts, Tons of fun for the kids and family and BIG $$$$ in Cash & Prizes.
STAR Rules of Eligibility
STAR Awards Eligibility Rules (as of 7/1/2016) are as follows:
Participant must have completed 8-hours of Mark Breslin “Survival of the Fittest” training (in this year or a prior year – one time only)
Participant must complete 16 hours of STAR sponsored training (Survival of the Fittest included) during the current training year. Those having previously completed Survival of the Fittest (in a prior year) must complete 16 hours of training from other available classes
Participant who cannot attend their scheduled STAR class must contact the STAR Program 2 weeks in advance to cancel their registration and avoid penalty*
Participant must have worked a minimum of 500 hours for a STAR Program contributing employer during the training year
Participant must be a member in good standing in the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades at the time of the awards event
Participant must be present to win
* NOTE: Missing ANY STAR class during the school year disqualifies you from participating in the Early Bird Raffle
