INTRO TO WALL COVERINGS

This course will introduce the basics of installing commercial grade wall coverings focusing on the 54” materials typically used in most commercial applications. This class includes hands-on work- all student s must have safety boots, glasses and a hardhat.

ADVANCED WALL COVERINGS

This course will introduce the basics of installing common residential grade wall coverings focusing on the 19-36” materials typically used in most residential applications. This class includes hands-on work- all student s must have safety boots, glasses and a hardhat.

INTRODUCTION TO SPRAY TECHNIQUES

This course will focus on the main safety hazards of spray painting, respiratory, electrical and combustible as well as others. This class includes hands-on work- all student s must have safety boots, glasses and a hardhat.

SPRAY TECHNIQUES II

This course will provide information and hands on experience using a variety of equipment used in spray painting. Airless, Air assists airless, HVLP and Conventional systems. This class includes hands-on work- all student s must have safety boots, glasses and a hardhat.

INTRO TO FAUX FINISHES

This course will introduce novices or seasoned professionals to learn about the products and application techniques developed for the professional faux finisher. Faux Finish I will provide hands on instruction in the arts of Marbling and Wood Graining. This class includes hands-on work- all student s must have safety boots, glasses and a hardhat.

ADVANCED FAUX FINISHES

This course will introduce novices or seasoned professionals to learn about the products and application techniques developed for the professional faux finisher. Faux Finish II will provide hands on instruction in the arts of Venetian Plastering, Anaglyptic Wall Veering as well as other applications. This class includes hands-on work- all student s must have safety boots, glasses and a hardhat.

DRYWALL REPAIRS FOR THE PAINTING INDUSTRY

This course, Instructed by our Drywall Finishing Staff, will provide painters with the basic techniques needed to make drywall repairs as well as match existing drywall textures. This class includes hands-on work- all student s must have safety boots, glasses and a hardhat.

8-HOUR LEAD REFRESHER

Yearly, continuing education for workers course required to maintain the State of California Lead-Related Construction Certification.

8-HOUR HAZWOPER REFRESHER COURSE

This course meets the requirements in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for eight hours of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites.

CAS (Coating Applicator Specialist) TRAINING CLASSES A, B, AND C

These classes are available only to Industrial Painters who have been deemed to be candidates for this difficult certification by their employer and must be taken in their respective order A-B-C. Participants will be given details and hands-on practice in all facets and requirements of both the written examination and Proctored Spray and Blasting portions of the valuable certification. . This class includes hands-on work- all student s must have safety boots, glasses and a hardhat.
