Training Classes

Class Prerequisites and Requirements

 

In registering for classes please be advised that many of our classes are broken into multiple days or may require attendance in primary classes as a prerequisite to enrollment.  See below for details:

 

Welding Certification 201: Students registering for this class must have completed Welding Certification 101.

 

** 8-Hour Lead Refresher: Students registering for this class must have successfully completed a State Certified 24-Hour Lead Course. The State certification MUST NOT be expired more than 2 years from the awarded date.

 

• OSHA 30: This course requires 32-hours of training which is presented in four modules (A,B,C and D).  Each module is instructed in a day (8 hours of training).  Modules may be completed in any order however you are required to complete all 32 hours of training within a six (6) month period to receive an OSHA 30 certificate of completion form the Department of Labor.

 

***Rigging & Hoisting 8 Hour Re-certification: MUST have a current R & H Certification

 

♦ Rigging and Hoisting A & B:  This certification course requires two-eight (8) hour segments to be completed.  These must be taken in order (A and then B)

 

▪ Total Station Training: Participants must pass each class in order (A-D) to be able to advance to the next class.


Spray Techniques I & II: Students registering for these classes are required to  bring their own personal respirators.

 

 

 

PERSONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Please be advised that all STAR Program classes require participants to be prepared for working in a construction site environment.  To this end, registered participants are required to arrive at class prepared for this environment.  Participants must be in possession of the following personal safety equipment and apparel.  Required are:

  WORK BOOTS, HARD HATS, SAFETY GLASSES, AND SAFETY VESTS. 

PARTICIPANTS ARRIVING WITHOUT EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND.
